Pittsburgh Penguins
Thanks to the Team!
Once again the Pittsburgh Penguins delighted fans far and wide with an exciting season of hockey and another Stanley Cup Playoff berth in their last year at Mellon Arena.
This was definitely a nostalgic year for the 2009 Stanley Cup champs. Since 1967, the Pittsburgh Penguins have played in the domed arena nicknamed "The Igloo." Once the Civic Arena and now Mellon Arena, the Igloo inspired the team's name. Elvis has now left the building and the Pens are ready for Playoff-style hockey in their new home, CONSOL Energy Center, next season!
