Pittsburgh Nightlife

When the sun goes down in Pittsburgh, the city transforms into a sparkling metropolis and a whole new world awaits! Here are some suggestions if you're looking for adventure after dark.

Casinos

Rivers Casino located on Pittsburgh's North Shore is open 24 hours a day and offers many entertainment options beyond its 3,000 slot machines and 86 table games. Happy hour, live entertainment, dancing and dining can be enjoyed as well as entertainment at the 1,000-seat riverside amphitheater.

Meadows Racetrack & Casino boasts over 3,500 slot machines, 68 table games, free parking, a state-of-the-art entertainment lounge, year-round harness racing, bowling center and much more! The Meadows is located just off I-79, 20 minutes south of Pittsburgh.

Just over the Pennsylvania state line into West Virginia, you will find more gaming fun:

Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort features 354 hotel rooms, 2,800 slots, table games, spa, fitness center, year-round thoroughbred racing, fine and casual dining and a golf course.

Wheeling Island Hotel Casino & Racetrack is a true casino experience featuring over 2,400 slots, 45 table games, off-track betting and dining.

Places to Eat Late Night and Weekends

For a late-night bite to eat after that last happy hour or when the curtain closes at the Benedum on a Saturday night, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership has created a Late Night or Weekend Dining Guide for Pittsburgh.  Now, you can easily find a restaurant open to satisfy your cravings!

Pittsburgh's South Side - Charm and Choices

If you're not sure which late-night pastime to pursue, head to the South Side, the one Pittsburgh neighborhood that's sure to have something for everyone. Just over the Smithfield Street Bridge from downtown, stop in at Station Square for gorgeous views of downtown as well as shopping, dining and nightlife.

Further east on East Carson Street is a 15-block juggernaut of Victorian architecture filled with restaurants, bars, tattoo parlors, vintage clothing stores, theaters, galleries, antique emporiums, piercing palaces and coffee houses. This edgy mix is capped by the newer and more conventional SouthSide Works, where you can drink, dine and shop, then end the evening with a movie at SouthSide Works Cinema.
