Take I-80 toward Sharon, and take exit 4B for US-60 N toward US 18 via Sharon/Hermitage. Merge onto PA 60, and merge into the left lane toward downtown Sharon on Broadway Avenue. Continue on Broadway Avenue for 3.9 miles. Turn right at Business Route 62/East State Street. Daffin’s Candies will be on your right.

Tours of this historic home are offered daily for groups by advanced reservations. Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, this 1890 castle offers grand memories of a lifetime as guests get a glimpse into the life of America’s “royalty” and the legacy of the industrial age’s “rich and famous.” This Romanesque castle, Frank Buhl’s wedding present for his wife Julia, is alive with history. After years of neglect and abuse, it was lovingly restored for all to enjoy, and now features the Winner Art Collection.

Home to two seasonal displays: Easter Bunny Lane and Santa’s Christmasland. Easter Bunny Lane is a 300-foot-long avenue filled with lighted trees that bloom with silk flowers in the color of spring. Watch your favorite animated characters at play in this wonderland. Easter Bunny Lane opens in mid-February and closes the Monday after Easter. Closed Easter Sunday. On Sept. 10, 2009, the doors will swing open to reveal the 300-foot-long avenue that is Santa’s Christmasland. As you stroll down the lane, marvel at the 85 beautifully decorated, lighted artificial trees. Watch dozens of animated characters busily getting ready for the holidays. Santa’s Christmasland closes Dec. 24 at 5 pm.

The Avenue is one of the largest permanent displays of American Flags flying anywhere in the world. That alone makes the flags very special, but their true significance is attached to the Iranian Hostage Crises of the late 1970s and early 1980s, when the Avenue raised one flag per day until the crises ended.
