Directions to Greene River Trail Head at Green Cove Marina and Yacht Club
From Exit 19 of I-79 S, turn left onto Route 19. Go about ½ mile and turn left onto Route 221 N. Take Route 221 N until you come to Route 188. Turn left and travel through Jefferson until you come to Route 88 in Dry Tavern. Turn left and look for Greene Cove Marina and Yacht Club on your right.

Maintained and operated by the Greene County Department of Recreation, the Greene River Trail offers over five miles of scenic hiking and biking. The trail runs along the Monongahela River, which provides a beautiful backdrop. Begin at one of two trail heads: Greene Cove Yacht Club in Jefferson Township or Crucible Ferry in Rices Landing. The trail is paved and partially fenced with a wooden rail fence. Parking is available at the trail heads, and leashed pets are welcome. Benches are set at intervals along the trail.

Directions from the Yacht Club to W.A. Young Foundry (3 miles)
From the parking area at Greene Cove Marina and Yacht Club, turn left onto Route 88. Travel to stoplight in Dry Tavern. Turn left, and follow signs to Rices Landing. After you travel under the overpass, turn right and make the second left. The Foundry will be on your right. You will have passed it during your time on the Greene River Trail.

The W.A. Young Foundry has been called “the greatest find of its type in the nation” by the Smithsonian Institute’s curator emeritus. Built in 1900, this foundry and machine shop cast numerous items from horseshoes to locomotive wheels. The Foundry is located on the banks of the Monongahela River and is available for private tours.

Spend the afternoon on the Upper Monongahela Water Trail greenway. You can rent a boat or jet skis or bring your own canoe, kayak, boat, etc. You can also bring your fishing gear.

From the Greene Cove parking area, turn left onto Route 88. Follow Route 88 through Carmichaels. The Sky View Drive-In will be on the right.
