We've got that! More traditional sports your family's style? Robert Morris Island Sports Center has you covered for hockey, figure skating, golf and more. 

Located in the East End is The Climbing Wall, Pittsburgh's premier indoor rock climbing center where you are able to practice bouldering, top-roping, and sport lead climbing. They even have kids and teen classes so you and your family can take classses together or test it out with a one day pass!
The WheelMillDoes your family enjoy biking in the summer? Well, take it inside -- to The Wheel Mill, Pittsburgh’s first and only indoor bike park located in a former warehouse building in Homewood.

    Reminisce about the summer days of Yoga in Market Square with its winter edition. Stay warm and get fit in the PPG Wintergarden with this free yoga class each Sunday in February at 10am.
  • Yoga at the Mattress Factory

    Presented by Fittsburgh
    Find your Zen in the middle of a contemporary art exhibit - literally! This class is held in the middle of a life sized art installation! Sweat through a 75 minute yoga class, then explore the museum and enjoy a glass of wine from Arriba.

  • Yoga at CMOA

    Carnegie Museum of Art
    Fair warning, this session is sold out but there is a waiting list and future sessions! Perfect your yoga form in the Hall of Sculpture while listening to soothing music from a Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra musician. After class, your ticket gives you admission into the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History.

    Amazing Yoga (Shadyside)
    You won't even notice it's winter in this 85 degree hot yoga class! The room will be decked out in black lights with techno pop music playing in the background. Each participant will receive a glow stick bracelet and are encouraged to wear white and neon to add to the glow of the class.

    Race for a cause with this six hour stationary bike race! Proceeds will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and with the event taking place in Heinz Field's East Club, the setting is pretty inspiring too.

  • Spring Thaw
    February 27
    North Park Sick of running on a treadmill and ready to start training for the Pittsburgh Marathon? The 40th annual Spring Thaw gives you that chance. You have the option of 10, 15, or 20 mile races through North Park that will definitely get your blood flowing!
  • Whiskey Tasting Walk
    March 5
    Strip District
    Presented by Venture Outdoors, 21 and older event
    Looking for a casual, scenic work out? Learn about Pittsburgh's popular Strip District on this fast paced walk. After, walkers will enjoy a cocktail and tour of Wigle Whiskey then get to sample signature Wigle Whiskey concoctions.
  • Rachel Carson Trail Quest Series
    March 5-26
    Venture Outdoors
    There are few physical challenges more difficult than the infamous Rachel Carson Trail, which spans 34 miles across Allegheny County. This challenge series lets you hike the trail in segments each week throughout March, unlike the Rachel Carson Trail Challenge where participants attempt the entirety of the trail in one day. Participants should be warned that even in segments, this is a very strenuous hike.

    Coffee addicts unite for this 3-4 mile hike through Pittsburgh's East End neighborhood. After the hike, warm up with coffee and a private tour of Commonplace Coffee.
  • Fight For Air Climb

    One Oxford Centre
    Missing the vertical challenge of the annual StepTrek? Fret not! This challenge will send you hiking to the top of One Oxford Centre to raise money for the American Lung Association.
  • 2016 Shamrock Shuffle
    March 19
    Harmony, PA
    Choose between a Half Marathon, 5K, and 1 Mile Run options. Popular for its festive twist, after Half Marathon runners make it up the steep hill, runners will be treated to Keg Stands and Jello Shots. The 5K and 1 Mile Run are both family friendly. Following all of the races will be soup, food, and beverages, including Green Beer.
