Kick off the holiday season with Pittsburgh's 56th Annual Comcast Light Up Night celebration! Light Up Night marks the re-opening of Pittsburgh's favorite seasonal attractions and the spectacular illumination of the Golden Triangle. Catch free entertainment all night, including music from national headliners, O.A.R. and Daya, as well local musicians, an expanded pedestrian walkway with live entertainment, incredible firework displays, a special Bicentennial Bridge Lighting, ice sculptures and so much more! Shop local this season at the picturesque Peoples Gas Holiday Market! Located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh in Market Square, this festive shopping village is inspired by the original German Christkindlmarkts. Local and national vendors are housed in vintage wooden chalets and a stage features daily entertainment from local arts organizations. Plus, enjoy visits and photos with Santa and the sparkling BNY Mellon Season of Lights display in Market Square.

Celebrate Pittsburgh's bicentennial with a historic bridge lighting! Beginning on Light Up Night and continuing nightly throughout the holiday season, the Rachel Carson (9th Street) Bridge will be illuminated by a wind-powered, artistic display of lights. More than 27,000 LED lights will depict real-time wind direction and speed, monitored on the bridge.

MassMutual Ice RinkIce Skating

November 18-Late February
Ice skate in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh with the MassMutual Ice Rink at PPG Place! Centering on a 65 ft. holiday tree, the rink features special events throughout the season, including skating lessons and sessions with Santa. Looking to escape to nature? Try the ice skating rink in Schenley Park, a traditional rink framed by trees with a view of the city skyline.

Gingerbread House and Train Display at PPG WintergardenPPG Wintergarden

There's plenty to enjoy inside the PPG Wintergarden! Head inside to warm up after ice skating and check out the Spirits of Giving From Around the World display. This free display showcases life-sized traditional Santa figures from across the globe and intricate paintings showing cultural holiday traditions. In the same space, enjoy the competitive Gingerbread House Display and Competition with nostalgic train display.
