Allegheny Conference on Community Development

The Allegheny Conference on Community Development and its affiliates (Pittsburgh Regional Alliance; Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce; and Pennsylvania Economy League of Southwestern Pennsylvania, LLC) are working in collaboration to stimulate growth in southwestern Pennsylvania's economy and improve its quality of life.

Leadership Pittsburgh

The programs of Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. (LPInc.) connect individuals from diverse backgrounds, professional levels, and organizations to serve the region by exposing these leaders to critical issues, skill development and community service opportunities. LPInc. has a graduate network of more than 1,300 influential civic leaders working to maximize the potential of our community.


GlobalPittsburgh is an independent, nonprofit community organization located in downtown Pittsburgh. The organization's mission is to promote cultural, educational and commercial ties between Western Pennsylvanians and other peoples of the world. GlobalPittsburgh serves visitors sponsored by the U.S. Information Agency and other governmental agencies, as well as those sponsored by regional businesses, universities and medical centers. GlobalPittsburgh arranges for international visitors to interact with their regional peers on professional and informal levels using a network of more than 2,500 volunteers annually.

Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership

Since 1994, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP) has been marketing Downtown Pittsburgh as the premier location to live, work, shop, dine, play and visit. Formed by downtown businesses, professionals, civic organizations, foundations and residents, the PDP fosters a clean, safe, accessible and vibrant downtown through a wide range of strategies and advocacy for actions that will strengthen the city, enhance its beauty and vitality and make it a better place for business and pleasure.

Pittsburgh Technology Council

Since 1983, the Pittsburgh Technology Council has been the principal point of connection for companies from four primary clusters of the technology industry that are represented by a critical mass of businesses in southwestern Pennsylvania including Information Technology, Biomedical, Advanced Manufacturing/Materials and Environmental Technology.

Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project

The Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP) advances issues affecting young and young-thinking people in Pittsburgh, making the region a more dynamic, engaging, and diverse place in which to live, and engage the young professional in the issues that affect attraction and retention. PUMP creates programs, supports existing programs, advocates for issues and educates the right people on what's best for the region.

Pittsburgh Young Professionals

Pittsburgh Young Professionals (PYP) is a growing, 430-member organization whose members are of diverse personal and professional backgrounds, providing career-minded individuals with opportunities to develop socially, professionally, and civically.

Port of Pittsburgh Commission

The mission of the Port of Pittsburgh Commission's is to promote the commercial use and development of the inland waterway transportation system and to integrate that system into the economic, recreational, environmental and intermodal future of southwestern Pennsylvania.

Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh

The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh serves to generate, stimulate and manage growth and development in the City of Pittsburgh. Established in 1946, the Authority carries out the City's major development projects, programs and activities.

Western PA Conservancy

Western Pennsylvania Conservancy protects, conserves and restores land and water for the diversity of the region's plants, animals and their ecosystems. Through science-based strategies, collaboration, leadership and recognition of the relationship between humankind and nature, WPC achieves tangible conservation outcomes for present and future generations.
